Liner Notes: About Time For Love

About Time For Love is a story of Boy Meets Girl. Yes, another one of those.

You Could Be Mine is that thought that pops into your head when we meet someone that not only draws you in, but makes you think, “You could Be Mine”! It is exciting to know that they are thinking the same thing about you. A conversation, several conversations, a shared moment, a surprising difference that makes you want to know more. A touch that charms you, not just alarms you. It is the realization that this is going to be good.

Once you both want it, it’s good to face the hard work together. When Love doesn’t just happen to you, but when you both decide that “We Can Make It Happen”. It helps to embrace those sleepless nights and hard goodbyes to make Love Last.

Love, I’m falling”! Wow, what is happening to me!? What do I do now? Now it gets cahRAYzee! The emotional upheaval, the excitement, the sheer Joy of Being in Love!

BodyWorks”, (I love how your) It opens the floor to innuendo, implications, imagination, and the fun of great sex! In a monogamous relationship, it is wonderful to get to know your partner’s body. Variety is the spice of life. With trust, devotion, and selflessness, variety becomes the many ways a couple learns to enjoy each other. Broader range of emotion, a wider scope of sensations, and the joy of years of excitement.

I Love The Rain” I have always loved the sound of rain, the smell, the coolness of fresh water from the skies. Spend a weekend in a tent listening to the falling rain. Hear the rain against the windows as you spend the morning in bed together. Walk in the rain and find a big tree to cuddle up under, and love it.

Have you ever looked around and said, “Well it’s about time”! You finally get that break, some good luck befalls you, the skies open up and for once the sunlight kisses your face instead of lightning striking you! Well then, “It’s About Time For Love”!

About Time For Love album cover

A musician will pen a song after something devastating happens. The artist paints the quiet sunset. A novelist may tell the story of struggles and glory. Love is “Why My Guitar Sings”. I actually sat with my acoustic guitar on my couch whenever I could. It only took me a week to get it worked out. Clearly, I do not play guitar. None of my keyboards could create that introduction.

It is nice when you can sit in each other’s arms at the end of the day and watch the sunset. Even better when you know you will be together when the sun comes up the next day. The sunset seems to have every colour, every emotion in it. Sunset Yellow, sunset purple, sunset red, sunset orange, sunset pink, and “Sunset Blue”.

I love her so much and… We are making plans for the future and… We’re struggling through this together and… “And She Loves Me”.

When it is Love it is so easy to stay “In the Moment”. You just wish it will last forever.

This title could mean a hundred different things to a hundred different people. The only question is what is your “Purrfect Sunday

There are those times when life gets hectic. It takes work, lots of money to make it work, lot’s of work to create some good times together. Then you have to set that time aside to share. Careful, there is such a thing as “Too Much Time Away”.

People who helped make this album a reality, take a bow! Again, Dave Renz on saxes. Dave is also joining me on stage for CounterParts Live. Doug Grigsby returns to play bass on And She Loves Me. Of course, Glenn Barratt re-amped everything through the Neve Genesis Amazing Mixing Board with all his Beltways and Entwhistles and Ultimately! His Finely Tuned Ears. I’m forever grateful for Glenn’s help in creating my sound here at Morning Star Studios. The sound of “I Love the Rain” was created by a horn section composed of Dave Renz, Joe Anderson on trumpets and flugelhorn, and Nick Lombardelli on T-Bone.

Many Thanks to Adam Leibovitz for placing three songs from Bakers Dozen on Smooth Jazz Radio stations around the World! Back It Up, No Doubt, and Why Dontcha Do It all got significant airplay for several years. Adam, we still got some spins on iHeartRadio five years later! Assisted by promotion and disc reproduction by Robert McClain of The Sundial Agency, we managed to keep a steady presence on Digital broadcasting and streaming services for both Bakers Dozen and five more tunes from About Time For Love. You could Be Mine, We Can Make It Happen, Love I’m Falling, And She Loves Me, and Why My Guitar Sings continued to draw attention to these two albums. I’m deeply grateful to both of these guys.

I am also grateful to Keith Gilchrist for promoting About Time For Love and CounterParts: Live in Elkins Park. I’ve assembled an amazing band performing Brand New Music Live in CounterParts! Dave Renz on Saxes, Dave Mohn on Drums, and Jack Hegyi on Bass Guitars. A Live Concert video is scheduled to premier about the same time we will be performing again Live, in Elkins Park PA.
